Your Plan Room Network membership provides you with the most comprehensive bidding information service available in the Midwest. PLAN ROOM SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION & APPLICATIONS
There are 3 different types of subscriptions available to companies interested in the Construction Update Plan Room Network:
Physical Plan Room – Provides you with unlimited access to your local Plan Room as well as our weekly Construction Update newspaper that will provide you with information for projects located in all of Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and other miscellaneous States. Electronic Plan Room – Provides you with 24/7 access to the Construction Update Online Plan Room powered by iSqFt and unlimited access to all of the Physical Plan Rooms that are owned and operated by MBI. CLICK HERE for more information on the electronic plan room.
Construction Update Only – Will allow companies that do not have an office located within our service area (Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska), to receive our weekly publication that provides project information for all of our Plan Rooms. ***ATTENTION TARGETED SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS***
You are able to join a physical plan room at no charge if you qualify as a Targeted Small Business as defined by Iowa law. A targeted small business (TSB), as defined by Iowa Code Section 15.102(5), is a company which is 51% or more owned, operated and actively managed by one or more women, minority persons or persons with a disability. Generally this is a for-profit small business enterprise under single management, is located in Iowa and has an annual gross income of less that 3 million dollars computed as an average of the three preceding fiscal years. The Construction Update Publication - Information for this weekly publication is gathered by Construction Update Network Reporters using our contacts with architects, engineers and building owners. These contacts allow our Plan Room Network to track projects from the beginning "Future Project Section" through bid opening day and "Low Bid Results." The Construction Update provides you with detailed descriptions of competitively bid projects along with a complete list of prospective contractors, their addresses, phone and fax numbers. Nightline Report Service - Members of the Construction Update Plan Room Network receive our overnight report containing information gathered by our staff each day. The information includes new plans and addenda received, as well as an updated list of bidding contractors on projects that let the next day. No other service in the Midwest provides such sophisticated, accurate and timely information. There is an additional charge for this optional service. View an example of the Nightline Report
Project Award Information - One of the many services included with plan room membership is contract award information. Beginning the day after a project bids, one of the Construction Update Plan Room reporters is on the hunt for award information. When possible, we provide the total number of bids received, the three lowest bidders and the bid amounts of the three lowest bidders. This service will allow you to compare your number with your competitor’s number.
