“OSHA just showed up, what do we do?”  Have you received this phone call from your field guys?  In the past eight years, OSHA has put a lot of effort into being a more “Friendlier OSHA”. They have put an emphasis on working with companies to make them safer. All of that is about to change with the newly appointed Secretary of Labor, Hilda Solis. She has made it clear that OSHA’s new stance is “There’s a new Sheriff in town.... Make no mistake about it, the Department of Labor is back in the enforcement business. We are serious, very serious."

With this new kind of mentality, it is more important than ever to ensure that both your guys and your company has a very clear understanding of what to do when OSHA shows up on your front steps.
