Upcoming Seminar - Green Building & LEED Certification
The demand for sustainable buildings and LEED accredited projects is increasing every day and leading commercial developers, general contractors, architects, designers and others in the industry to increase their knowledge about green building and LEED. As a result, the move to get employees LEED-certified has become increasingly important as the green building market expands and becomes more competitive.
This seminar will begin with an introduction to LEED, the basics of the different programs, the levels of certification available, and a discussion of points and prerequisites associated with Sustainable Sites.
The class will then be led through discussion of points and credits associated with Water Efficiency, Energy & Atmosphere, and Materials and Resources, as well as energy code, points and credits associated with Indoor Environmental Quality, and Innovation & Design credits.
The group will have the opportunity to take a sample exam and discuss solutions. They will be given study guide materials directly from USGBC that they can use when preparing for the real exam. Attendees will finish this course with the valuable resources to successfully pass the LEED accreditation exam.
