Recognizing Leaders through the 750 CLUB

In preparation for the 2012 legislative session and the subsequent 2012 elections, MBI is well positioned to better advocate for important construction initiatives.  One of the primary reasons for this ability is due in part to those members who stepped up to the plate in the most critical times and made personal contributions to the MBI-PAC during the 2011 calendar year.  Nearly 130 members wrote personal checks to support the MBI-PAC in its efforts to identify pro-business and pro-construction candidates.

In an effort to recognize those members who are willing to make larger contributions, the MBI-PAC recognizes those who contribute at least $750 annually.  Deemed the “750 Club”, members are asked to support the MBI-PAC at a level equal to or greater than $5 per legislative seat at the Iowa Capitol (100 House members and 50 Senate members).  Though we can never say thank you enough for contributions to the MBI-PAC, it is important that we do take the time to identify those individuals that take leadership roles in supporting the MBI-PAC.

For ten years running, all 750 Club members are presented with a certificate of appreciation during MBI’s Annual Meeting and Construction Exposition, while also having their pictures placed in the MBI Annual Report and on the MBI website.
