“Public Side” vs “Private Side” of The Construction Update Plan Room Powered by iSqFt

Did you know that there are 2 different “sides” of iSqFt? Both sides are accessed through www.iSqFt.com, but both sides are very different. I will highlight the major differences of the two sides and highlight some of the benefits of both. 

  1. The “Public Side” also known as The Construction Update Online Plan Room powered by iSqFt. Although this is often referred to as the “Public Side”, this service is not available to the public. This is a member’s only service that will provide you and your company with unlimited online access to all of the projects within our network area (Iowa, Illinois & Nebraska). You simply sign-on to iSqFt.com using your designated username & password and you are able to view plans, specs, addenda, bidders list and details for all of our projects. In addition to viewing the project information, you can also track current & future projects, sign up for addenda notifications, add yourself as an interested party to a particular project and all of the other essential features associated with using iSqFt.
     
  2. The “Private Side” also known as The Private Construction Office. MBI’s Private Construction Office powered by iSqFt is a tool that MBI General Contractors are rapidly adopting as an indispensable part of their everyday efforts for managing their preconstruction process. This is the only application on the market that is also independently used by subs and suppliers. Through MBI’s network, General Contractors are able to post project plans, specs and addenda for “Private” projects that would not otherwise be available on the “public side” of iSqFt. After a GC posts their project, they issue “invitations to bid” to subs and suppliers in their database. A username and password is issued that provides you with free access to information for that particular project only.

Both services are designed to minimize the inefficiencies that exist in the bidding process and will deliver real, hard dollar cost reductions.
