MASTER BUILDERS OF IOWA – ANNUAL REPORT 2009

Two thousand nine presented another year of solid results in terms of accomplishing objectives set out under MBI’s mission and strategic plan. The plan is approaching it's third anniversary since the Board of Directors and members approved the plan at the 2007 Annual Convention. The strategic plan is aggressive, but over 12 task forces and over 60 volunteer leaders adhered to deadlines, governed strategically and executed ahead of the most optimistic projections.

This report summarizes the results of the strategic plan, meeting the objectives, measuring the outcomes and their impact on advancing the mission of the Association. Members are encouraged to read this report with a perspective of evaluating your individual company return on investment in the Association. We hope this evaluation takes into account the value our collective voice brings to the industry, including regulatory, legal, legislative issues and outcomes impacting our bottom line. Through this Association, members lead on policies developed to foster a favorable business environment for our industry. The heart of this effort includes strong advocacy to ensure that Iowa is an open, fair, reasonably regulated industry for owners and contractors to build and prosper.  The current times require strong leadership and collective participation as the current business environment has its challenges. MBI is up to the challenge as we have been for the last 98 years --and this report illustrates it.

We encourage you to review the Annual Report and review how your Association is working for you.
