Hubbell Extreme - 9 Homes in 9 Days
On September 9, 2009, Hubbell Homes began construction on nine connected townhomes at the corner of 21st Street and Carpenter Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa. This nine-plex serves as rental homes for low-income, working families. The homes were constructed for and are managed by Anawim Housing, a local non-profit organization that provides safe, affordable housing to low-income families. The entire construction of the homes was donated – from the trusses, drywall and paint, down to the very last nail. Hubbell Homes, and many volunteers together, in nine days, have positively impacted the lives of hundreds of families for years to come. Actually, the project was completed in seven and a half days!
