  • Information – “Knowledge is Power” and keeping members informed is one of MBI’s primary objectives. MBI provides a number of information products that ensure its members are the best-informed contractors in the construction business

Over the years our members have consistently recognized the value provided by the Association and our ranks have remained strong and viable.

At the heart of MBI’s value proposition is the belief held by our members that it is critical to sponsor and maintain an organization that is responsible to represent their industry when and where it is needed and to undertake programs and services to increase the performance of its members.  Another core belief is that companies in the commercial construction industry can work together collectively in an organization and create essential resources and opportunities that otherwise would not be possible if left to individual companies.

Our members develop policy, programs and services on a wide variety of issues and subjects.  Along with the members, a professional staff works for the Association and carries out the policies and programs developed by committees and task forces, all of which is overseen by a Board of Directors and Associate Council.

MBI provides the structure for members to be good stewards for their industry . . . to band together to defend, represent, promote, educate and nurture their most important asset . . . their business.  Without members working collectively through their Association, your industry and subsequently your business will no doubt be impacted negatively.

No other trade organization in our industry shoulders the broad responsibility and commitment to represent the best interests of the commercial construction industry in so many ways.  MBI’s brand recognition gets its strength from the 2,000 members who affiliate with various divisions of the organization statewide.  In turn, members benefit through their affiliation and connection with the Master Builders of Iowa’s strong, well respected brand.  Involvement is key to maximizing your investment in the Association.

MBI works hard each and every day to sustain and grow its leadership position in the industry.  Our thanks to all of the Master Builders and volunteer leaders that make our Association the effective voice that it is for the commercial construction industry.

For a small annual dues investment, members of the Master Builders of Iowa are able to utilize professional products and services that would cost them many times the dues investment if they were to procure them alone.  These products and services enhance member contractors' productivity and profitability and help them grow and prosper.  Membership in MBI also gives firms the opportunity to play a part in shaping the future of the construction industry and ensures that their voices are heard.
