WORKSAFE Reached 100 Projects

The WORKSAFE program reached its 100th enrolled project this summer and celebrated the event on October 10th with endorsements from Governor Branstad, Lt. Governor Reynolds, Workforce Development Director Wahlert and Labor Commissioner Mauro as well as all the parties involved with the work. The 100th project is the repair of the EMC Company office and the Hub Tower in Des Moines from damages sustained due to a fire across the street from both buildings earlier in the year. Neumann Brothers Inc. is the general contractor for the repairs and has hired Allied Construction, Architectural Wall Systems…for their specialty work. The local media was present to spread the success story across Iowa. WORKSAFE is the product of cooperation between Iowa OSHA Consultation and Master Builders of Iowa.
