All contractors performing work in pre-1978 housing that will disturb a painted surface have to be state certified and have a Lead-Safe Renovator oversee the work. This also applies to facilities where children under age 6 are present, such as daycare centers and schools. Your Lead Safe Renovator Certification must be renewed every 3 years! Complete this EPA-accredited refresher course to continue your certification!
This half-day refresher course focuses on the review of the Lead Safe Renovator rules, requirements and lead-safe work practices. You will have the opportunity to ask and get answers to questions and situations you’ve run into since your initial training. This course is required by the State of Iowa and the EPA every 3 years in order to renew your renovator certification with the State.
