Having a written drug testing program brings rewards and responsibilities. The rewards are evident\; workers with drug problems don&rsquo\;t get hired. The responsibilities are a little less so. The Iowa law that covers what employers must do to run a testing program is extensive and if the employer doesn&rsquo\;t follow it properly it puts itself in a position where it may have to answer to a discrimination charge.
